🗞️ 020 Turn your Thank You page into a revenue driver.
Gather that zero party data for future 🚀
Estimated read time: 1.5 minutes
So you put in all the effort to get to know your customer, get them to the right products and you even get them to buy the product.
Job’s done right?
Certainly not.
Most people don't think about personalizing their thank you page. Why would you?
But a thank you page is not good just for personalizing.
It's also a really great place to get more zero-party data from your customer.
It's a chance for you to get to know your customer better and to continue the conversation with your customer.
For example; if they bought birthday flowers, you can ask them whose birthday it’s for. If they bought dog food, you can ask if they have another dog. What’s your dogs favorite toy?
There are so many questions you can ask specific to the purchase that are going to help you further down the line.
The Ultimate Goal is to increase Customer Lifetime Value.
Other things you can do on the thank you page are encouraging the user to spend more.
You don't only upsell on the cart page.
You can do the same on the thank you page.
So they've bought something. You think something would go really well with it.
Put it on the thank you page.
You'd be surprised how many people add it to their order.
You can also offer them to sign up for a special VIP club or loyalty card.
As long as you're offering something valid in exchange, you’re good to go.
For example, if they sign up for a loyalty program, you're putting them into that loyalty bucket along with all the other data points you have.
And that user is going to be more loyal to your brand than others.
And the best time to ask someone to join a loyalty club or become a VIP is right after they made a (small) investment in you.
Hypothesize, test and optimize your Thank You Page and put all the data you collect from your customers to use.
Your retention rate will thank you.
Have a great Sunday!
