Personalization hacks to increase sales

Are you struggling with personalizing your user's journey?

You've done the initial listening and made them feel welcome, but now it's time to take it further.

In today’s issue we’ll discuss how to make all that listening pay off.

Respond and Personalize

On the category and product pages, it's crucial to respond and personalize the experience.

This is not about changing the overall user segment, but rather fine-tuning the journey.

Utilize the valuable information you've gathered:

  • What did they search for?

  • What did they click on?

  • How many products have they viewed?

With this knowledge, you can show them relevant content and guide them effectively.

Filters

When it comes to the category page, pay attention to filters.

Filters provide insights into preferences, budget and more.

Use this information to curate the product selection and make the search easier.

If your visitor is looking for women's clothing, just show them women’s clothing.

Personalization on the category page enhances engagement.

Product Page

Now, the product page is where personalization truly shines.

For logged-in users, it's easier since you have their past purchase data, sizes, and preferences. Make their journey seamless by showing the right product, offering size recommendations, estimating delivery time, and providing related cross-selling.

By addressing their concerns in advance, you make the experience easier and less overwhelming.

But what about new users or those who haven't shared much information?

Use behavior-specific personalization based on their interactions. Show products related to search queries or collections clicked on.

You can even ask for minimal information like their zip code to personalize shipping options.

The goal is to provide relevant recommendations and simplify their decision-making process.

Remember, personalization is much more than product details. If a user has shown interest in sustainable collections, highlight that aspect on the product page.

Predict their size, anticipate their color preferences, and tailor the product page to their values and beliefs.

TL;DR

  • Personalization is key

  • Understand your users

  • Respond to their needs

  • Make their journey effortless

  • Leverage the data you've gathered

With effective personalization you can increase engagement, build trust and increase sales.

Have a great Sunday!
